Blue Ridge Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy Services for Families of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Services
Blue Ridge Occupational Therapy offers in-person or telehealth (“TelePLAY”) intervention using the PLAY Project Methods and Techniques by Katie Fusco, an Occupational Therapist and Certified PLAY Project Consultant. PLAY Project is an evidence-based intervention for children with suspected or diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder or other neurodivergence and is highly focused on parent/caregiver interactions. PLAY Project uses parent coaching and video feedback to build upon positive interactions with the child based upon that child’s specific developmental level and unique sensory motor profile.
As a direct-pay therapist, insurance companies are not billed directly by Blue Ridge OT. This allows the focus to be on providing personalized care for the family in their home or community, without the limitations often associated with private insurance. Families are welcome to explore out-of-network options with their insurance provider or a medical flexible account reimbursement.
